Liz Herrieven
I’m an emergency medicine and paediatric emergency medicine consultant at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, with a special interest in access to acute and emergency healthcare for people with a learning disability and autistic people. I have a part-time role as a learning disability physician in the community learning disability team in Hull, looking after the physical health needs of patients with profound and multiple learning disability. I am a medical advisor for the Down’s Syndrome Association (UK charity) and am a steering group member for the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group. I am a blog editor for RCEMlearning and an educational advisor for the PGCert course on medical needs for adults with learning disability, run by Edge Hill University and the Royal College of Physicians. I have been a proud contributor to DFTB for 7 years and a follower for much longer, and am very excited to attend DFTB26.
