Tara is a GP in Wingerworth, Derbyshire and the lead Training Programme Director for the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Dales GP Speciality Training Programme.  She is currently undertaking a fellowship in Creative Health with The Hub+ Derbyshire as well as hosting the medical humanities podcast “Bedside Reading since 2021. Tara undertakes a number of freelance educational roles in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education including honorary senior clinical lecturer roles at QMUL and Sheffield. She loves her role on the DFTB exec.

In her spare time she is a voracious reader, a baker and eater of cakes and acknowledges that theatre, running and Rockbox classes are vital strategies to survive in the 2026 NHS.
