Vicky Thomas
Dr Vicky Thomas has been a children’s doctor for over twenty years. She currently works as a consultant paediatrician at Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital, where her particular areas of interest are infant feeding and behaviour, and nutrition in children with medical complexity. She works across multiple clinical environments including the Emergency Department, outpatient clinics, and supporting feeding and growth in children across inpatient settings including the Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital. She also holds a number of roles with third sector organisations including First Steps Nutrition Trust, La Leche League and co-chairs the Hospital Infant Feeding Network.
In her spare time she is a passionate parkrunner and baker (always hoping that the two offset each other).
Vicky is supported in all her endeavours by her now quite grown up children, a very patient husband, and Toby the lab.
